THE CATALYST TEAM is an 11-month internship hosted by Living Light Christian Church in Somerset, UK

The Catalyst Team is for people with music and media skills willing to serve the local church and communicate the gospel effectively.

AREAS OF SERVICE

Interns will serve our churches in Taunton, Wellington and Bridgwater by helping in the following areas:

MUSIC

WORSHIP – Worship teams on Sundays and mid-week groups for both LLCC and other churches across our towns

LIVE MUSIC – Live music in schools, venues and community events to connect people with the good news of Jesus

SONGWRITING – Writing and helping to produce songs from within the church

SOUND ENGINEERING

TRAINING – Training others in both worship and music skills

CREATIVE MEDIA

VIDEO CONTENT – Creating and editing video content to engage both church and local community

MIXING & PRODUCTION – Producing and distributing songs that have been written

SOCIAL MEDIA – Harnessing the power of social media to reach people

LIVE STREAMING – Live streaming worship services

MAINTENANCE – Assist in practical maintenance of the Taunton building

SET UP – Helping congregations setup for various events and services

SERVING – Serving those in need across the churches

 

WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?

People with authentic faith in Christ who are passionate about the local church, bringing good news to the lost, a hunger to grow in God, and a humility to serve.

FAQ
  • There are no fees to pay to take part in our internship
  • The internship is an unpaid, voluntary commitment
  • LLCC will arrange accomodation with host families 
  • In special cases (e.g. international applicants or exceptional circumstances) LLCC can assist with basic living costs
  • Full-time internships will require approximately 40 hours per week
  • Team members could potentially volunteer on a part-time basis
    • Note: certain ad-hoc commitments could conflict with your ability to work a second job
  • Interns will sometimes be required to work extra hours
    • e.g. – late nights for teardown after concerts or video deadlines or very early setups for school assemblies
  • Through weekly planning sessions, staff members will help you to manage your time as efficiently as possible
  • Day to day, our internship works out of the LLCC Taunton site. 
  • We invite anyone who is at least 18 years old to apply for our internship.

  • Although we can and will step out individually in our different disciplines, our internship is primarily team based. Our staff will be training and supporting our interns every step of the way.
  • Our internship runs from late September until the first week of August.
  • A personal vehicle is useful but not required. LLCC provides a vehicle for internship related activities and covers expenses.
